For the first time after their tour of New Zealand was cut short due to attacks in a mosque in Christchurch, Bangladesh will take on New Zealand where both teams will hope to keep that phase of their lives on the back of their mind and play a good competitive match.
Bangladesh must be confident after beating South Africa in their opening match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 and if they can beat another full member like New Zealand, they will be more than confident of reaching semi finals of a world cup tournament for the first time in their history.
To do that, they have a team to beat which they have beaten previously not only in bilateral series but also in ICC tournaments including the clash in England in 2017 Champions Trophy. And now while the New Zealand team is in much better form, Bangladesh will be hoping that they can get all their departments produce another great performance that matters the most for their chances in this world cup.
New Zealand on the other hand will also be confident of tackling whatever Bangladesh throws to them. They beat India in a warm match and then Sri Lanka in their opening world cup match easily. And if the pitch has anything for pace bowlers, its advantage New Zealand for sure. They will surely not mind the forecast for rains during the match and with an overcast sky, they will be looking to bowl first and restrict Bangladesh to an average or less than average total.
We look forward to this match in a hope that this will be another competitive match in this world cup.
